Disclaimer

This page explains the limits of what you should rely on Morocco Travel Life for. It is short, and it is meant to be read rather than scrolled past.

Travel information goes out of date

Everything here is written from research and first-hand travel, and it is accurate as far as we can establish on the day it is published or last verified. Morocco then carries on without us. Prices rise, riads change hands, train timetables shift, mountain roads wash out, visa and entry rules are rewritten with little notice, and opening hours during Ramadan are not the opening hours in June.

Before you book or travel, check the things that would ruin your trip if they were wrong against a primary source: your own government’s travel advice, the Moroccan embassy or consulate that covers you, the airline, and the business itself. Where a page carries a last-verified date, that is the date we last checked it, not a promise about today. If something here has gone stale, tell us and we will fix it.

This is not professional advice

We are travel writers. Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, medical, insurance, financial or security advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. We are not a travel agency, a tour operator or a licensed adviser, and we cannot book, guarantee or fix anything on your behalf. For vaccinations and medication, ask a doctor or a travel clinic. For visas and entry rules, ask the consulate that covers your nationality. For cover, read the insurance policy itself.

Prices, times and currency

Prices are quoted to give you a sense of scale, not a quotation. They were correct when the page was written or last verified, they are often given in dirhams or converted at the rate on that day, and they move. Journey times assume normal conditions and no strike, no breakdown and no closed pass. Treat every number here as an estimate to confirm before you commit money to it.

Some links on this site earn us a commission if you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate links run mainly through the TravelPayouts network, which covers flights, hotels, tours, car hire and travel insurance from partners such as Booking.com and GetYourGuide. Every guide carries a standing disclosure at the top, and where a link earns us money it is disclosed on the page it appears on, close to the link itself, not only on this page.

Commission never decides what we recommend. No operator, riad, advertiser or affiliate partner can pay to change a published price, alter a safety warning, or see a page before it is published. Where a company we earn from is the wrong choice for you, the page says so.

Booking through one of those links creates a contract between you and that company, not with us. Their terms, their cancellation policy, their customer service. We are not a party to it and we cannot resolve a dispute over it, although we do want to hear about it if a partner treated you badly.

Advertising and sponsorship

We are introducing display advertising on this site, served by Google AdSense. The adverts are chosen and served by the ad network rather than selected by us, an advert is not an endorsement, and advertising cookies are only set if you accept marketing cookies in the consent banner. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy cover what that involves.

If we ever accept a press trip, a comped stay, a gifted product or a paid placement, it will be labelled at the top of that page, in plain words, every time.

You travel at your own risk

Travel carries risk, and Morocco is no exception. Trekking in the High Atlas, driving on rural roads, riding a camel, eating from a street stall, going into the desert with a guide, swimming on the Atlantic coast: all of it involves judgement that only you can make, on the day, with the conditions in front of you. You are responsible for your own decisions, your own fitness, your own insurance and your own safety. Use this site to plan. Do not use it in place of your own judgement, a qualified local guide, or an official warning telling you not to go.

We link out constantly, because sending you to the airline, the ONCF timetable or the consulate is usually more useful than paraphrasing them. We do not control those sites, a link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or how they handle your data once you arrive there.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, cost, injury or disappointment arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published on it, including travel disruption, missed connections, refused entry, financial loss, or a business turning out not to be what a page said it was.

Nothing on this page limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rights given to you by the law of the country you live in are untouched by anything written here.

Changes to this disclaimer

If this disclaimer changes we will update the date at the top. We do not make quiet changes.
